  1. To provide legal advice to those who requests , concerning agreements between Maldivian government and other parties.

  2. To provide legal advice to those government offices who requests concerning official matters.

  3. To comment on bills passed by the People's Majlis upon request by the President's Office, before the President approves.

  4. To check and forward the bills drafted by the law commission.
